Grey polycarbonate – impact-resistant and UV-resistant
Our grey UV-resistant polycarbonate sheets are impact-resistant, translucent and ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. These strong plastic sheets are available in thicknesses of 4 mm, 5 mm and 6 mm, and are cut to size with millimetre precision. Thanks to their solid grey pigmentation, the sheets retain their colour without the need for a film or coating. Both sides are covered with a protective film to prevent scratches during transport and processing.

What is grey UV-resistant polycarbonate?
Grey polycarbonate, also known as tinted polycarbonate, derives its colour from organic pigments that blend completely with the plastic during the extrusion process. This creates a subtle grey tint reminiscent of smoked glass, without any loss of transparency.
The tint affects the light transmission: the thicker the sheet, the less light is transmitted. However, the technical and thermal properties remain fully intact. Thus, the material impact-resistant and UV-resistant, ideal for covers and protective caps in mechanical engineering.
You can find more background information on the material at Wikipedia – Polycarbonate.
Light transmission of grey polycarbonate sheets
- approx. 55% at a thickness of 4 mm
- approx. 48% at a thickness of 5 mm
- approx. 40% at a thickness of 6 mm
Thanks to its grey tint, the material provides pleasant light filtering, making it ideal for canopies, windows and partitions where a little more privacy is desired.
Weather-resistant and impact-resistant grey polycarbonate sheets
Our grey polycarbonate sheets are fully UV-resistant and weatherproof. They can be used indoors and outdoors without any problems, even in extreme weather conditions. Thanks to its high impact resistance, the material can withstand heavy impacts and hail without breaking.
Polycarbonate is also half the weight of glass, which reduces the load on the supporting structure. For patio covers and carports, our 16 mm polycarbonate multi-wall sheets an excellent choice.
Available sizes of grey UV-resistant polycarbonate sheets
Available as standard up to 2000 x 1000 mm, but larger sheets are also available on request up to 3050 x 2050 mm. For these larger items, delivery charges are calculated separately based on weight and size.
Applications of UV-resistant polycarbonate sheets
- Blackout, shatterproof glazing
- Patio covers and carports
- Privacy glazing in bright light
- Covers and hoods in mechanical engineering
- Decorative applications for interiors and exteriors
Fit your panels easily with the Klick® system for polycarbonate sheets and use the correct fixing material for a perfect result.
Processing of grey polycarbonate sheets
The sheets can be sawn, milled, drilled and bent using standard tools. Use a fine-toothed saw or a metal drill bit, and do not remove the protective film until after processing to prevent scratches.
Polycarbonate is a thermoplastic and can be processed at approx. 150°C can be easily deformed. The material remains stable between -40°C to +120°C, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.
