Beschrijving
This engineering plastic combines high strength with low friction and is widely used for gears, bearings and precision components in mechanical engineering.

Key properties of polyacetal plastic
- High strength and excellent wear resistance
- Retains its dimensions under load
- Low moisture absorption and low coefficient of friction
- Good chemical resistance to fuels and oils
- Temperature range from −40°C to +100°C
Applications of POM C polyacetal rods
POM C, also known as Polyacetal or Delrin, is widely used in mechanical engineering, the automotive industry and precision engineering.
Thanks to its combination of rigidity and wear resistance, it is ideal for gears, plain bearings, clutches and precision components.
In industrial applications, it replaces metal because it is light, strong and corrosion-resistant.
Difference between POM-C and Delrin rods
Delrin® is the brand name for the homopolymer (POM-H), whilst POM-C is the copolymer variant.
The copolymer has slightly lower strength, but offers better chemical resistance and dimensional stability in the presence of moisture and temperature fluctuations.
Machining of POM C engineering plastic
Polyacetal rods are excellent for machining on conventional machines. They can be turned, milled and drilled using sharp tools.
Its low moisture absorption ensures that dimensional accuracy is maintained, even during precision work. Welding and bonding are also possible, although mechanical joints are preferred for technical applications.
Supply and customisation of POM C rods
