What is Grey polycarbonate?

Grey polycarbonate is a solid, tinted plastic sheet containing fine grey pigments that run throughout the entire thickness of the material.
The colour is therefore not a coating, but an integral part of the material itself. This gives it an elegant appearance and ensures long-lasting colour fastness.

• Impact-resistant – up to 250 times stronger than glass.
• UV-resistant and weather-resistant – suitable for outdoor use.
• Light-transmitting (40–55% depending on thickness).
• Heat-resistant from −40°C to +120°C.
• Half the weight of glass – easy to install.
• Both sides are covered with protective film to prevent scratches.

Light transmission of grey polycarbonate

– 4 mm thick: approx. 55% translucent
– 5 mm thick: approx. 48% translucent
– 6 mm thick: approx. 40% translucent

Applications of Grey polycarbonate

Thanks to its combination of strength and UV protection, grey polycarbonate suitable for
canopies, conservatories, carports, machine enclosures and glazing where a subtle, darkening shade is required.

Processing of Custom-made Grey Polycarbonate

Grey polycarbonate is easy to cut, mill and drill. Use sharp tools and do not remove the protective film until after installation.
The material can be thermoformed at approximately 150°C and retains its strength within the operating temperature range of −40°C to +120°C.
